The main very active shopping street with all the big names and the indoor Arndale Centre.

New Cathedral Street
The whole area around exchange square has been developed following the destruction of the IRA bomb. Marks and Spencer, Selfridges, and other large stores exist with smaller boutique shops on New Cathedral Street .
Northern Quarter
The Northern Quarter is to the north of Market Street. At one time a run down area now full of independent retailers that bring the area to life. Affleck's Place, with mosaics around the building and inside vintage clothing, piercing studios, music and other cool stuff is typical Northern Quarter.
St Ann 's Square
An old square in the centre of the city with arcades running off and shops around the perimeter.
